Our client has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Gameplay Programmer. To be responsible for programming the core gameplay mechanics, with ultimate the aim of making their games as entertaining and playable as possible. The ideal candidate is expected to have proven experience within a similar role, be an exceptionally creative problem solver, an excellent communicator, and always shows high levels of enthusiasm and a talent for creating great games. The Gameplay Programmer role requires excellent technical knowledge of the software development process for prototyping, developing, and debugging of release quality gameplay code.
• Good C++ programming experience in the games industry. • Experience of rapid prototyping & exciting new game mechanics. • Able to program fun gameplay mechanics. • Knowledge of producing well-engineered & maintainable code. • Working knowledge of current game engines and graphical techniques. • Great technical architecture and implementation skills. • Experience on current generation consoles. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • A passion for making and playing games. • Published title to your credit seen through from concept to completion
