An opportunity has arisen for an Engine Programmer to join a globally recognised, leading independent developer in Mainland Europe. Not only can this studio boast a string of successful titles across multiple platforms it also has its own bespoke ground breaking tech used by developers across the globe.
Consistently looking to push the boundaries of game development with their middleware, they are looking to appoint a new Engine Programmer to their Engine team.
As Engine Programmer you will be responsible for developing new and existing sub-systems for their world renowned SDK whilst contributing to the maintenance of low-level engine systems and ensuring reliability of build systems for SDK releases and special projects.
Working alongside 3D artists and technical designers on improvements and extensions of game production pipelines and the creation & maintenance of modules (testing)are amongst the varied duties this role has to offer.
Candidate must have previous experience within a similar position including professional software development experience.
Experience and knowledge of the following are essential to be considered for this position:
• Excellent understanding of:
Object-oriented analysis and design.
Algorithms used in 3D games.
Visual C++ and/or the GCC programming toolset.
• Strong software engineering and debugging skills.
• Adopt existing company development processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Keep a positive team-oriented attitude.
